Molo is the Italian word for pier, the structure that reaches from the shore out over the water and gives boats a place to tie up between trips. Dordoni took that idea of a pause on the way, a return to solid ground, and turned it into a sofa that asks people to stay a while. The name also explains the geometry, which is all straight lines and right angles.

Because every module is a rectangle, the pieces line up in many ways. The range has 2, 3 and 4 seater sofas, a corner sofa, a separate modular sofa, a bench and an upholstered daybed, and since 2021 the XL sectional. Kettal Molo sofa modules can be split and rearranged, so a long run set up for a summer party can later become two sofas facing each other.

The frames are aluminum, which stays free of rust through wet seasons and salt air. Legs come in teak or concrete. Teak weathers to a soft gray if left untreated, while concrete adds weight and a mineral look close to the floor. Decoration is kept to a minimum on purpose, so the fabric and its color carry most of the character of each piece.

Around the sofas go a rectangular coffee table and a square coffee table, with aluminum frames, teak legs and tops in aluminum or marble. Two recliner sun loungers complete the set: one rolls on castors, the other stacks for storage.
